According to satellite images of fields and forest belts near the town of Huliaipole in the Zaporizhzhia region, Russian guided aerial bombs (KABs) continue to accurately strike targets despite countermeasures by Ukrainian electronic warfare assets.

French conflict analyst Clément Molin posted on his X social media page that the released data illustrates the scale of the problem facing Ukrainian forces on this section of the front.

The analyst notes that Ukrainian electronic warfare capabilities are clearly insufficient in this sector. The lack of appropriate equipment prevents them from effectively jamming the navigation systems of Russian UMPK (Unified Gliding and Correction Modules) fitted to aerial bombs.

A satellite image obtained by Militarnyi confirms that Russian glide bombs are accurately striking every forest strip directly in front of the Ukrainian troops’ defense line.

The use of UMPK modules allows Russian aircraft to drop munitions dozens of kilometers away from the line of contact.

They operate without entering the range of most Ukrainian air defense systems.

The primary carriers of such glide bombs on the front lines remain Russian Su-34 frontline bombers under the cover of Su-35 fighters. According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Russian occupation forces continue to systematically increase the intensity of their use of this type of weaponry along the entire front line.

According to an infographics by the Telegram channel “Oko Gora”, a new record was set in May for the enemy’s use of FAB aerial bombs with UMPK modules.

The total number of uses in May amounted to 7,496 munitions.

This figure indicates an 8% increase in the intensity of strikes compared to the previous period.

At the same time, the average daily use of guided aerial bombs by Russian aviation in May reached 241 units.
