Russia is fraudulently attracting foreigners to the production of Shahed-136 strike drones at a plant in Tatarstan.
This was reported by Baku TV in its investigation.
These are citizens of post-Soviet countries, including Azerbaijan, who are offered employment under the Alabuga Start program in the Alabuga Special Economic Zone through an online advertising campaign.
Foreigners are promised jobs in high-tech production in the Republic of Tatarstan, high salaries of about $1,000 per month, and career growth.
However, after signing the contract, it turns out that the work is very different from what was promised.
“A bright, attractive website, promises of career growth and interesting work. Everything is fine, but people, hoping for promising earnings, get a job there, move to this zone, and eventually get involved in something other than what is stated in the ad,” the article says.
According to Azerbaijani journalists, Russians recruit young people under the age of 22.
After arriving at the place of work, they learn that they will have to assemble Shahed-136 kamikaze drones, which the Russians call “Geran-2” and use to strike Ukraine.
Those who refuse to work for such an enterprise are intimidated and blackmailed.
“There have been cases where documents were taken away. There have even been cases of physical violence,” the story says.
It should be noted that the production of Iranian drones in Russia involves a whole network of enterprises responsible for the production of mechanical parts, fuselage, certain electronics elements, etc.
In November last year, it became known that the Russian invaders had begun using Shahed-136 kamikaze drones with an updated satellite navigation system. They also began installing a new thermobaric warhead on these drones.
