Ukrainian company Fire Point plans to begin testing its FP-9 ballistic missile in early summer 2026.
Denys Shtilerman, the company’s chief designer and co-founder, shared this in an interview with Army TV.
According to him, specialists are currently completing the development of the missile’s engine.
The FP-9 is expected to have a range of 855 km, a speed of 2,200 m/s, a combat load of 800 kg, and a flight altitude of up to 70 km.
With an accuracy of 20 meters, it can hit large targets deep behind enemy lines.
In February, Fire Point conducted flight tests of the new FP-7 operational-tactical ballistic missile.
The test video shows that during launch, the rocket performs course corrections, meaning that the flight is controlled.
