Ukrainian defense companies The Fourth Law and TAF Industries have developed the Kolibri 10 Advance FPV drone with Level 1 autonomy.
The Fourth Law shared this information with Militarnyi.
The company states that the system’s main advantage is its ability to engage targets under intense enemy electronic warfare (EW) or beyond the radio horizon. Thanks to the integration of the TFL-1 module, combat mission effectiveness increases by 2–4 times.
The drone is equipped with an AI-based TFL-1 guidance module made by The Fourth Law. This allows the drone to automatically lock onto and track a target, carrying out its mission even in the event of a complete loss of communication with the operator during the final stage of the attack.
It is reported that at a distance of up to 1,000 meters, the operator can designate a target moving at speeds of up to 80 kilometers per hour, after which the drone switches to autonomous mode.
This target acquisition range makes the FPV drone virtually invulnerable to the dome-shaped electronic warfare (EW) systems used by the Russians to protect their equipment.
In addition to guidance, the drone also has a cruise mode. In this mode, it automatically maintains a set course, altitude, and flight speed without constant operator intervention. This allows it to fly through areas of electronic jamming.
It is reported that the UAV is equipped with dual-band communication and a high-capacity battery, enabling it to cover a distance of over 40 km.
The developers reported that the certified drone is already available for order by Ukrainian defense forces both through the DOT-Chain system and on the Brave1 Market platform, with the option to purchase it under the eBall program.
As a reminder, in late June, an anti-aircraft drone equipped with the TFL-Antishahed autonomy module shot down a Russian Shahed/Geran-2 strike drone.
A video released by the company shows the operator locking onto a Shahed at a distance of approximately 1 km from the target, and the module allows it to be held in the crosshairs until it is destroyed.
It is reported that the detection system itself can be integrated into various types of interceptors that use on-board AI (‘on-the-edge AI’) to detect attack drones such as the Russian-Iranian Shahed and Geran-2.
