According to the mayor of Moscow, 1,892 Ukrainian drones were detected heading toward the Moscow region between July 11 and 18.
Sergey Sobyanin reported this on his Telegram channel.
Most of the drones, as stated by the Russian side, were neutralized by air defense units on the outer approaches to the region.
As they approached Moscow itself, air defense forces destroyed 207 Ukrainian UAVs.
As a reminder, today, July 18, Ukrainian drones successfully struck several targets in the Moscow region.
In particular, as a result of a successful attack on the 1st Center of Unmanned Systems Forces, a warehouse in the city of Elektrostal in the Moscow region was completely destroyed by fire.
As of 10 a.m. Kyiv time, a large-scale fire at the Wildberries logistics center in Moscow was still burning, and smoke from the blaze was visible 50 km from the epicenter.
The logistics center in Elektrostal, which was attacked, is considered Wildberries’ second-largest facility in terms of order processing volume.
Strike drones also hit an oil depot in the city of Noginsk in the Moscow region.
The oil depot’s grounds house 24 storage tanks with a total capacity of 11,500 cubic meters.
The oil depot itself is positioned as an independent market operator. It serves as a key hub for fuel companies and traders throughout the Moscow region.
It is used for the storage, transshipment, and shipment of gasoline, kerosene, and diesel fuel.
