The Ukrainian Armed Forces successfully attacked a Russian patrol boat in the temporarily occupied Crimea.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The Ukrainian military targeted the Project 10410 patrol boat, which was in the port of Kerch.
Another vessel of the same class was struck on July 17, 2026. The Svetlyak-class Project 10410 patrol boat, which belongs to the FSB Border Service of Russia, was damaged on that occasion.
Kerch plays a key role in the logistics of the occupying forces, so the Russians are trying to strengthen security in the waters around the Crimean Bridge and local ports. To this end, they are actively deploying patrol boats and ships.
Project 10410 ships were designed in the mid-1980s to replace Project 205 border patrol boats. The lead ship of the PSKR-900 series was built in 1988 at the Vladivostok Shipyard.
The ship is intended for service with the FSB Border Service of Russia, for controlling the state border, protecting natural resources within this zone, coastal communications, and artificial structures, defending vessels against attacks, and repelling attacks from the air and underwater.
A distinctive feature of these ships is their automated, fuel-efficient diesel propulsion system, which has made operation simpler and enabled high speeds—over 30 knots—as well as a long cruising range at economical speeds.
