For the first time since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Odesa was attacked with Kinzhal missiles.

This is reported by the Telegram channel Monitor.

In total, four Kinzhal missiles launched from the MiG-31 aircraft were reportedly used during the missile attack on Ukraine on the night of December 12-13, two of which targeted Odesa.

It is worth noting that the use of these missiles is not widespread, as both their number and the number of carriers are limited in the Russian Armed Forces.

The only platform for launching these missiles is a modified MiG-31K fighter jet, and the missile itself is reportedly an aviation version of the Iskander-M tactical missile.

According to the official data of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as of July 21, 2025, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Russia has fired about 160 X-47M2 Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles at Ukraine, of which approximately 48 have been shot down.

Earlier, Militarnyi reported that in October 2025, Russia launched a massive missile and drone strike on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure. At that time, Kinzhal missiles were used together with cruise missiles and Shahed attack drones.
