A register of electronic military summons for citizens has been launched in Russia in a test mode.
Radio Liberty reported on this with reference to the website of electronic military summons.
According to the plan, full-fledged operation should start on November 1, 2024, as originally planned.
In addition, the website will publish relevant information on conscription, news, and notifications of restrictions on the rights of objectors.
In preparation for the launch of the electronic register, lawmakers have banned citizens subject to military service from leaving Russia.
Persons liable for military service will be notified of all new entries in the register via the Gosuslugi service.
In particular, these will include notifications regarding the removal or acceptance of a citizen for military registration and temporary restrictive measures in connection with sending a call-up.
According to the new resolution, the summons will be deemed served seven days after it is posted in the register. Once the draft notice is sent to the conscript, he will automatically be banned from leaving the territory of the Russian Federation.
The register will collect the most important information, namely health status, place of residence, place of work, and education.
According to RosMedia, the conscription to the Russian army in autumn 2024 will be fully conducted using electronic summonses.
In addition, Russia has raised the maximum conscription age from 27 to 30 years. The State Duma regularly publicly proposes the idea of increasing the length of service in the army from one year to two.
Militarnyi previously reported that Russia was preparing for a long-lasting major war. To do this, it is changing legislation that will help to effectively replenish the ranks of the invasion military.
