Reznikov announces a new aid package from the United States

On November 4, the United States will announce a new package of military aid to Ukraine.

This was stated by Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov.

According to him, the priority will be air defense systems and ammunition.

“I think today we will hear about the announcement of a new aid package to Ukraine from the United States. It will be signed by President Biden,” he said.

Oleksii Reznikov added that “we will hear good news – I already know it, but we will wait.”

The Minister of Defense clarified that at the last meeting of the Ramstein format in Brussels, “everyone heard that our priority №1 is anti-aircraft and anti-missile defense.”

“Our partners understood this very well, and they are primarily focused on strengthening the protection of our skies. These and the new Hawk systems (MIM-23) … NASAMS is already on the way with our crews trained. We will also receive the Crotale system from our French partners,” Reznikov said.

The minister also added that the issue of supply to Ukraine and other systems from other countries is being “finalized”.

The new package of military aid, according to Reznikov, will include a batch of ammunition for barrel artillery and MLRS, anti-drone systems, as well as UAVs for reconnaissance and adjustment of Ukrainian artillery fire.

The Minister of Defense emphasized that plans of helping Ukraine by foreign partners are designed for years ahead.

It has also recently become known that the new military assistance package from Spain includes a battery of the Aspide anti-aircraft missile system, four Hawk air defense systems, anti-tank missile systems, as well as guns and shells for them.

For the first time, the United States has provided Ukraine with satellite dishes that will improve communications on the battlefield. The means of satellite communication were included in the package of military aid to Ukraine in the amount of $275 million, which was announced on October 28.
