U.S. company Northrop Grumman has received a $488 million contract to provide engineering and technical support for APG-66/68 radars used on F-16 fighter jets.

The Pentagon announced the award.

The work will be carried out in Linthicum Heights, Maryland, and is scheduled to be completed by March 31, 2036.

The Foreign Military Sales program covers a long list of countries, including Bahrain, Belgium, Chile, Denmark, Egypt, Greece, Indonesia, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Korea, Morocco, the Netherlands, Norway, Oman, Pakistan, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Thailand and Turkey.

Since the Netherlands and Norway have already announced the transfer of all their F-16 aircraft to Ukraine, there is a possibility, according to analyst Colby Badhwar, that part of the radar support services under this procurement is intended specifically for Ukraine’s air fleet.

Norway transferred 14 fighters to Ukraine during 2025.

The Netherlands also pledged to transfer 42 fighters to the Ukrainian Air Force. Some of the aircraft are currently being used to train Ukrainian pilots.
