Ukrainian drone manufacturer Ukrspecsystems wants to set up a service center for foreign-made drones in Ukraine and reduce their maintenance time.

Andriy Rymaruk, the company’s deputy director, shared this with Militarnyi.

At the Brave1 connect event, Ukrspecsystems representatives established contacts with foreign suppliers and manufacturers of unmanned aerial vehicles who do not yet have their own service centers in Ukraine and can organize them in close cooperation with the Ukrainian company.

“We are ready to take on international products for servicing in order to reduce the logistical burden. For example, if your drone breaks down, instead of sending it to Poland, the Czech Republic, or even the UK for repairs, we are ready to do it in Ukraine,” Andriy Rymaruk points out.

According to him, to create such centers, the Ukrainian side must be certified by the manufacturer. It is necessary to train technical personnel and ensure the supply and production of the necessary materials for repairs.

The company stated that, despite the lack of certification, it occasionally performs minor repairs on foreign-made composite drone parts to return the disabled aircraft to service as quickly as possible.

Andriy Rymaruk also shared that the UAS Components marketplace for drone components, launched a month earlier, has already begun to attract interest from other drone system developers. The company offers support to startups in developing their projects.

“We are ready to be their contractor in the production of various spare parts and electronics, and we are ready to manufacture composite materials on a fairly large scale. We are ready to carry out full or partial R&D, and in general, we are ready to deliver the entire project on a turnkey basis,” he said.

The UAS Components catalog includes gyro-stabilized camera systems, antenna trackers, catapults, parachute systems, masts, batteries for unmanned aerial vehicles, and software.

Last September, Ukrspecsystems transferred licenses for the production of its advanced unmanned aerial vehicles to ALS Systems, enabling the establishment of production in Poland.

The company stated that this step will enable it to conquer new markets in the future and promote Ukrainian unmanned systems more broadly.

The company’s product range includes tactical and operational-tactical reconnaissance drones of the Shark series, as well as PD-2 large reconnaissance drones.
