The U.S. Army has moved the TITAN system into mass production by awarding two contracts totaling $192 million.

This was reported on the official website of the U.S. Army.

Under the contracts, the first eight production systems—four TITAN Advanced and four TITAN Basic—are scheduled to be manufactured and integrated.

The TITAN is a mobile ground-based intelligence station designed to collect and process data from various sensors. The system uses artificial intelligence and machine learning to fuse intelligence information and more quickly determine target coordinates.

The Advanced version is a more powerful variant intended for division-level units and above, with direct access to space-based intelligence. The Basic version is a simplified variant for lower-level units, which receives this data through ground-based centers. They are scheduled to be delivered over the next 18 months.

Palantir Technologies and Anduril Industries received $127 million and $65 million, respectively.

The new systems will supplement the nine prototype TITAN systems that the U.S. Army is already using in operational units.

The TITAN can transmit the collected data to weapons systems, reducing the time between target detection and opening fire. The system is designed to support multi-domain operations and long-range, high-precision strikes.

Palantir notes that the TITAN combines sensors, networks, and automated data processing. The system’s software generates an intelligence picture and guidance data while simultaneously reducing the workload on operators.

The U.S. Army is expected to begin placing additional production orders for the TITAN as early as fiscal year 2027.

Palantir is responsible for the overall production and integration of the system. L3Harris Technologies, Sierra Nevada Corporation, Strategic Technology Consulting, and World Wide Technology are also involved in the program. Anduril will supply hardware components and integrate the equipment into secure modules.

As a reminder, Palantir CEO Alex Karp will become the first investor in Mykhailo Fedorov’s own defense company.
