Domestic manufacturers are ready to meet the production needs for the equipment to demine the territory of Ukraine from mines and unexploded ordnance.

The press service of the Ministry of Economy announced this.

Yulia Svyrydenko, First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economy of Ukraine, reported on this.

The topic was discussed during a meeting of government officials with representatives of Ukrainian companies producing machinery and equipment necessary for humanitarian demining.

Representatives of special vehicles and equipment manufacturers reported their readiness to produce several dozen heavy-type mine clearance equipment annually, with the production localization degree between 15% and 50%.

They are also ready to ensure the production of up to 1,000 vehicles for carrying sappers.

In addition, Ukrainian enterprises can produce vehicles to transport explosive objects, trucks, and armored loaders.

Each month, they are also ready to release up to five special vehicles to prepare the soil for demining.

Militarnyi previously reported that the Croatian company DOK-ING and the Danish Hydrema agreed with Ukrainian manufacturers on the localization of the production of mine-clearing vehicles in Ukraine.

During the Ukraine Recovery Conference 2023 in London, the Ukrainian company Pozhmashyna signed a memorandum of understanding with the Danish company Hydrema.

The companies agreed that Pozhmashyna will prepare its facilities for the production of HYDREMA910 mine clearing vehicles. This 18-ton vehicle is designed to effectively defuse anti-tank and anti-personnel mines containing up to 10 kg of explosives. The vehicle is equipped with a block with 72 chains and a deflector screen to protect against explosions and fragments. It has long been in the arsenal of NATO countries and has proven itself to be the best in the “hottest” parts of the world.

In particular, in March of this year, the Kherson region received two DOK-ING MV-4 and MV-10 mine clearance vehicles.
