Ukrainian Defense Forces carried out a mass missile strike against targets in Belgorod, including a local combined heat and power (CHP) plant and a warehouse.
This is indicated by an OSINT analysis by Militarnyi.
At approximately 4:53 p.m., an air-raid alert for missile threats was issued in the city and region.
Within minutes, reports of the first explosions began to emerge in Belgorod.
An analysis of footage published by eyewitnesses indicates that local air defenses likely failed to respond to the attack in time.
At least five facilities were hit: the Belgorod CHP plant, the Estate Logistics warehouse used by Ozon, the PEK transport company, a facility in the city’s industrial zone and a television tower.
Ozon’s delivery service has reportedly stopped operating in the city.
Local residents have also reported disruptions to television broadcasts.
The means used to carry out the strikes are currently unknown.
Earlier, on August 7, a strike on the local television tower was also reported.
