A Ukrainian drone strike has destroyed most of the storage tanks at the Russian oil depot operated by JSC Poltavskaya Neftebaza oil depot in Ust-Labinsk, Krasnodar Krai.
The assessment is based on a satellite image published by the CyberBoroshno OSINT project on its Telegram channel.
According to the analysts, the imagery indicates that only a few smaller storage tanks survived, as they were located farther from the center of the strike. The main tank farm appears to have been destroyed.
The Ukrainian Defense Forces struck the oil depot with drones on the night of June 5–6, triggering a major fire at the facility.
Immediately after the strike, the fire covered an area of approximately 5,000 square meters. NASA’s FIRMS monitoring service detected abnormally high temperatures at the site shortly after 4:00 a.m.
The Poltavskaya Neftebaza oil depot handles the distribution of AI-92 and AI-95 gasoline, various grades of diesel fuel, as well as TS-1 aviation kerosene, fuel oil, and gaseous fuels.
Before the strike, the facility operated a tank farm consisting of 28 storage tanks with a combined capacity of 14,950 cubic meters and supplied fuel to customers across Krasnodar Krai and the Republic of Adygea.
On the night of June 18, Ukrainian drones hit an oil depot in Gukovo in Russia’s Rostov region, triggering a fire in fuel storage tanks at the facility.
The Ukrainian Defense Forces also carried out the largest drone strike to date on the Moscow oil refinery, located in the Kapotnya district area of Moscow, the Russian capital.
