Ukrainian strike drones attacked oil facilities in the Taganrog, Rostov, Armavir and Krasnodar regions.
This was reported by the authorities of the Rostov and Krasnodar regions.
The attack took place on the night of May 29–30, 2026, resulting in fires at both facilities.
According to an official statement by Yuriy Slyusar, governor of the Rostov region, a tanker and a fuel storage tank caught fire in the port of Taganrog at coordinates 47.203020409353655, 38.94950328958075.
In addition, the information about the successful attack was confirmed by Taganrog Mayor Svetlana Kambulova, who reported that the loading infrastructure at the pier and the administrative building were damaged.
At the same time, the Armavir administration reported damage and a fire at the oil facility of Yuzhnaya Neftyanaya Kompaniya LLC at coordinates 45.004133523878124, 41.06061190083003.
It is worth noting that the Defense Forces are actively continuing to strike Russian oil and fuel infrastructure, leading to significant financial losses and a decline in export capacity.
Thus, in early May 2026, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reported that since the beginning of 2026, Russia had lost over $7 billion due to Ukrainian long-range strikes on the oil industry. Daily losses from infrastructure damage are estimated at approximately $100 million.
In addition, the number of oil refineries attacked doubled in early 2026. As noted by Reuters, more than 40 primary processing facilities have ceased operations.
As of May 2026, the combined capacity of refineries that have fully or partially ceased operations exceeds 83 million tons per year, accounting for nearly a quarter of Russia’s total capacity.
At the same time, attacks on export terminals, particularly in Ust-Luga and Primorsk, caused a temporary reduction in export capacity of approximately 40%.
At certain times, the average daily volume of oil exports fell from 4.1 million to 2.3 million barrels. Additionally, oil companies were forced to cut production by 300,000–400,000 barrels per day.
Earlier, Militarnyi reported that on May 24, 2026, the Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked the Tamanneftegaz oil loading pier in the village of Volna, the Krasnodar region, Russia. The strike hit an oil loading stand, which sustained damage.
The Tamanneftegaz is one of Russia’s key export terminals, located near the port of Taman.
