Ukraine and NATO will create a Lessons Learned platform for analysis, training and education based on data obtained from lessons learned during the war.
This was reported by the official website of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
The initiative was launched on June 19, 2025 in Poland. The center will operate jointly with partners from the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Poland, Portugal, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, and the representatives of the NGO Boryviter.
The goal of the project is to create the Lessons Learned Data Exploitation Platform (LL DEP), which will become a systematic tool for collecting, processing, and analyzing combat experience.
During the inaugural conference, the experts from the General Staff and the Land Forces Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine together with the NATO representatives discussed the scheme of the platform, data exchange mechanisms and procedures for interaction between JATEC (NATO-Ukraine Joint Analysis, Training and Education Center), the Armed Forces and the Alliance.
In particular, four key areas of work were identified: development of end products, information exchange standards, data collection methods and analysis tools.
According to Colonel Valerii Vyshnivskyi, JATEC Programs Implementation Director, Ukrainian combat experience and NATO technologies form a new model of operational training that strengthens defense capabilities and becomes the foundation for a future common security scheme.
Pavlo Musienko from the NGO Boryviter added that the platform will provide real-time operational analysis and adaptive decision-making, which will increase the effectiveness of the Armed Forces and be useful for partners.
