The United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) has manufactured and delivered the fifth batch of Su-34 fighter-bombers to the Russian Aerospace Forces.

This was reported on the UAC’s official Telegram page.

According to published photos and videos, the transfer took place at the Novosibirsk Aviation Plant, with two aircraft being delivered.

Another batch of aircraft is expected to be delivered by the end of 2025, which will potentially increase the total number of Su-34s delivered to the Russian Aerospace Forces to 11 aircraft in 2025.

It should be noted that the first batch of aircraft of this type was transferred on April 19, 2025, at the factory airfield of the Novosibirsk Aircraft Production Association Plant and consisted of two aircraft.

The second batch was delivered on July 10, 2025, and probably consisted of one aircraft, as only one aircraft is visible in the photos and videos. This is likely related to the Algerian contract, under which the country ordered 14 aircraft of this type, which are being supplied from its own production stocks.

The third batch arrived on August 12 and, like the first, consisted of two aircraft. The fourth and fifth batches of Su-34s were delivered on September 15 and October 6, 2025, each consisting of two aircraft.

According to this calculation, as of today, the Russian Aerospace Forces have replenished their aircraft fleet with nine aircraft of this type.

At the same time, in 2024, Russia transferred 10 newly built Su-34s to the Aerospace Forces, in typical batches of two aircraft, similar to previous years.

According to open sources such as The Military Balance 2025, the Russian Aerospace Forces have more than 150 Su-34/M aircraft, and the country retains the ability to compensate for losses through stable production.

It should be noted that the plant plans to expand production of Su-34 aircraft due to losses in the war against Ukraine, where 36 Su-34s have been lost since the start of the full-scale invasion.

UAC CEO Yuri Slyusar stated that the plant is aiming to increase Su-34 production and that all of the corporation’s enterprises involved in the state defense order are not slowing down their production.

Militarnyi previously reported that internal documentation from the Rostec corporation had revealed for the first time plans to supply advanced Su-57 fighters and Su-34 fighter-bombers to Algeria, as well as the number of Su-35s ordered by Iran.

The document finally confirms the fact that the Algerian military ordered 14 Russian Su-34 bombers. This is evidenced by the order for the same number of command and pilot indicators that were to be delivered as part of the aircraft. Along with the aircraft, the latest L-265VE Khibiny-U electronic warfare systems were also ordered for each bomber.

The appearance of the Su-34 aircraft in “African” livery became known in the spring of this year, as Militarnyi reported. Algerian media had been writing about their order since 2021, but there was no confirmation of this.
