Rostec handed over the first batch of Su-34 aircraft to the Russian Aerospace Forces in 2025.

This was reported on the official Rostec Telegram page.

The transfer of the aircraft took place at the factory airfield of the Novosibirsk Chkalov Aircraft Production Association Plant, part of the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC).

According to the official video, two aircraft were handed over, which is the standard number of the aircraft of this type that was handed over in 2024 and 2023.

As a reminder, due to the large losses of Su-34 aircraft in the war against Ukraine, UAC CEO Yuriy Slyusar said that the plant is seeking to increase production, as all the corporation’s plants involved in the fulfillment of the state defense order are not slowing down production.

Nevertheless, according to official information on the transfer of aircraft of this type, no major changes have been observed, and the transfer of aircraft is taking place in the same batches as last year.

The handover of Su-34 aircraft in 2024 was more active than in 2023, and according to published photos and videos, the UAC has handed over 10 newly built aircraft since the beginning of 2024.

It should also be noted that in 2024, Rostec published materials about the transfer of single aircraft, although in the end, the final number still remained unchanged.

According to information from open sources, such as The Military Balance 2025, the Russian Air Force has more than 150 Su-34/M aircraft.

In addition, despite the loss of equipment, the Russian side has the ability to replace losses, which since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine amount to 36 aircraft destroyed and damaged.

Earlier, Militarnyi reported that the Russian Aerospace Forces may have handed over a new batch of fifth-generation Su-57 multi-role fighters.

Observer La_souris_DA published photos showing two new planes with tail numbers “25” Red (RF-81796) and “26” Red (RF-81797), which had not been previously captured by cameras.
