The Come Back Alive Foundation purchased equipment and gear for Ukrainian sappers worth almost $7 million.

The Foundation released a statement announcing this.

The Foundation purchased and is already providing units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine with specialized equipment and gear thanks to the donations provided.

In total, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russian troops, the needs of sapper and infantry units are already being covered with:

  • 381 metal detectors of various modifications;
  • 5,179 sets for demining, including 179 sapper bags;
  • 100 search kits;
  • 125 coils of fencing tape to mark mined areas of 100 meters each;
  • several dozen probes, wires coils, stretch sensors.

Items purchased are needed to detect and neutralize mines, improvised explosive devices, and ammunition.

It was reported that special equipment along with gear costs UAH 6,990,250.

This regards the results of the Foundation’s work since the beginning of the full-scale invasion by the Russian troops.

The year of the war is equal to approximately eight years of demining.

In addition, the Come Back Alive Foundation is currently purchasing 100 explosives technician uniforms worth UAH 25 million.

“Given the invader’s use of artillery, aircraft, mines, and improvised explosive devices, given the “quality” of these types of ammunition, we are now facing a serious task – utmost quickly and, most importantly, with high quality to clean our land from the threat. After all, without this work we cannot talk about the safety of our children, the normal operation of businesses and infrastructure,” said Yevhen Antipenko, a senior instructor in special engineering training.

That is why, in addition to transferring gear to sappers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, including Territorial Defense units, soldiers of the State Border Guard Service, and other engineering units within the Defense Forces of Ukraine, Yevhen is conducting an intensive course that includes theoretical and practical training, in which he shares his own combat experience.

Additionally, upon mastering the training program, the participants would receive gear necessary for the engineering work: individual and group sapper bags, metal detectors, probes, and stretch indicators.
