Ukrainian INGUAR-4 Armored Recovery Vehicle Approved for Service

The Ministry of Defense has certified and approved the Ukrainian INGUAR-4 armored recovery vehicle for use.

This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

The new vehicle features armor made of Armox steel and aluminum components in accordance with the STANAG 4569 Level 3 standard

Earlier, Militarnyi reported that 60% of the components of the INGUAR-4’s chassis and suspension are manufactured in Ukraine.

The INGUAR-4 armored vehicle has a 6×6 wheel configuration, designed for heavy-duty missions.

The vehicle has a number of advantages over the tracked combat recovery and evacuation vehicles commonly used in the Armed Forces of Ukraine:

  • Faster than tracked recovery vehicles
  • Evacuates damaged armored vehicles weighing up to 30 metric tons
  • Inexpensive to operate and easy to maintain
  • Explosion-protected seats and an automatic fire suppression system
  • The 6×6 wheel configuration ensures high cross-country capability and mobility
  • A powerful winch and hydraulic system for pulling and evacuating damaged vehicles.

Thanks to its unique design, powerful engine, and a number of innovative engineering solutions, this armored vehicle offers a higher top speed and better mobility than other 8×8 reconnaissance and recovery vehicles.
