The Polish Armed Forces have received the first batch of COMP@NZ radio stations manufactured by Radmor, a WB Group company.

According to the Polish publication Defence24, this is only the second system in the history of Polish military radio communications to receive a cryptographic protection certificate.

The radio station, fully developed by the WB Group, is authorized to process classified information with limited access.

The introduction of the COMP@NZ system strengthens Poland’s position as a manufacturer of modern communication systems that meet the highest security standards.

“The position of an independent radio manufacturer is crucial in the face of growing defense needs and changes in the security sector,” the manufacturer stated.

In addition to advanced tactical communication functions, the radio has undergone a full verification process that covers not only the device itself but also the software, waveform, control system, and cryptographic key generation.

According to the company, this is a crucial step toward enhancing Poland’s technological sovereignty.

The COMP@NZ system includes the H09-Z/1 portable radio, which uses BMS IP and W2FH signals with increased resistance to interference.

The key element of the system is the classified information transmission module, which provides the exchange of classified voice and data signals in accordance with the SCIP/STACiS (STANAG 5068) and NINE (STANAG 4787) standards.

In addition to the H09-Z/1 software-defined radio (SDR), the COMP@NZ system also includes

  • V09-Z/1 on-board radio
  • radio network planning system
  • control and cryptographic data generation modules
  • a wide range of accessories (chargers, power supplies, adapters, amplifiers, antennas, handsets, loudspeakers, headsets, and manipulators)

COMP@NZ allows processing classified information up to the “Restricted” / “NATO and EU” level, which is confirmed by a certificate from the Military Counterintelligence Service dated June 12, 2025.

The radio also provides both open and secure voice communication, as well as the transmission of classified data.

The radio network planning system allows for effective organization of communication in command and tactical networks, from the brigade level down.

In turn, the cryptographic data management and generation system is responsible for initializing and personalizing radio stations, creating and preparing cryptographic data, and managing the full life cycle of devices.

This year, Ukraine also presented new secure communication systems developed by the Ukrainian company HIMERA.
