Russians Lost More Than Fifty Infantrymen Near Dobropillia

The enemy attempted a massive mechanized offensive near Dobropillia in the Ocheretyn direction.

This was reported by the 1st Azov Corps of the National Guard.

According to the Corps, the offensive was conducted in the area of responsibility of its units with the involvement of about 16 units of armored vehicles – infantry fighting vehicles, tanks, MT-LB transporters and motor vehicles.

The attacks were carried out in the direction of the settlements of Myrnohrad and Razino, with the main efforts focused on capturing Shakhove.

In the course of defense actions, Ukrainian soldiers destroyed 9 infantry fighting vehicles, 4 MT-LBs, 3 tanks and 3 motorcycles.

Confirmed enemy losses in manpower amounted to 78 soldiers.

The Azov Corps notes that the enemy’s tactics remained unchanged: motorcyclists advanced in the first wave of the offensive, followed by armored vehicles with infantry on board.

The convoys tried to use electronic warfare to suppress unmanned reconnaissance vehicles of the defense forces and to deliver infantry units to settlements for landing and further seizure of territory.

Advance mining of the approaches and coordinated actions of the Defense Forces units – primarily artillery crews of the Armed Forces brigades, National Guard units, and crews of unmanned systems – contributed to the disruption of the enemy’s plans.

Recently, on October 10, it was reported that the Russians had deployed more than 40 armored vehicles for a massive mechanized assault near the villages of Volodymyrivka and Novoolenivka near the Dobropillia salient.

According to the National Guard, as a result of the defense actions, 1 armored tractor, 3 tanks and 16 armored personnel carriers were destroyed and damaged.

The enemy also lost 41 motorcycles and two light vehicles. Confirmed enemy losses in this sector amounted to 107 occupants killed and 51 wounded.

The combat work was carried out in cooperation with other components of the Defense Forces, in particular with the USF and the Air Assault Forces.
