In June, the Ukrainian Defense Forces inflicted approximately $5 in losses on Russian forces for every $1 spent on striking targets.

According to Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense, the figures are based on data from Mission Control.

Mission Control is a tool that tracks all operations carried out by Ukraine’s drone forces and generates dashboards for further analysis and decision-making.

In addition to planning and tracking missions, Mission Control enables the assessment of the economic efficiency of striking enemy targets.

The system takes into account the value of destroyed Russian personnel, equipment, infrastructure, and other assets.

In June, striking a single Russian servicemember cost Ukraine’s Defense Forces an average of $3,032, while maintaining that servicemember costs Russia approximately $65,000.

Striking a piece of military equipment cost an average of $2,674, while striking an infrastructure target cost $1,487. In every category, Russia’s costs are several times higher than Ukraine’s.

According to the system, the value of Russian assets destroyed can range from hundreds of dollars for telecommunications equipment to hundreds of thousands of dollars for air defense systems and other high-value targets.

Mission Control also categorizes missions by type – reconnaissance, strikes, logistics, and evacuation – and by the depth at which they are conducted. This makes it possible to assess the effectiveness of individual units and the means used to strike targets.

Meanwhile, the system enables analysis of Ukraine’s own losses: which equipment is being taken out of service, at what depth, and under what circumstances. This analysis helps the Defense Forces adapt more quickly to changes on the battlefield.

Currently, around 50,000 combat missions are processed through Mission Control every week, generating more than 230,000 reports.

Mission Control is part of the DELTA ecosystem of military products, developed by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine’s Center for Innovations and Defense Technologies Development and put into operation in August 2024.
