The Russian company Bureau 1440 has unveiled a line of terminals similar to Starlink for connecting to the Rassvet satellite system.

The company reported that it has developed three subscriber terminals.

The first to be unveiled was the 1440.ULTRA — a mass-produced device offering maximum performance and data transfer speeds of up to 700 Mbit/s.

The terminal is designed to provide satellite connectivity for industrial enterprises, remote areas, infrastructure facilities, and equipment.

The second, the 1440.ZEMLYA, is a terminal for rail transport that will ensure service operation on rolling stock traveling at speeds of up to 400 km/h.

The third terminal — 1440.MINI — is a concept for a compact device with a target data transfer rate of approximately 100 Mbit/s.

It is designed to connect a small number of users and can be used as a portable communication device for rescue teams, emergency service crews, and in other mobile use scenarios.

Among the terminals already presented, the 1440.ULTRA is the closest equivalent to the standard Starlink Standard terminal in terms of purpose, specifications, and dimensions, while the 1440.ZEMLYA is the closest equivalent to the Starlink Performance terminal.

For now, the compact 1440.MINI, which is conceptually equivalent to the Starlink Mini, exists only as a concept.

Given their specifications, such terminals could potentially be installed on Russian strike drones for attacks on Ukraine.

Rassvet Constellation

Bureau 1440 is currently actively deploying the Russian low-Earth orbit satellite communications system Rassvet.

In March 2026, the company launched the first 16 satellites of the constellation into orbit, followed by another 16 in July. The company states that the system uses 5G NTN technology for communication between satellites and ground terminals. Laser communication is used to transmit data between the satellites themselves.

During testing, the company reported data transmission between spacecraft at distances of up to 1,000 km at speeds of up to 10 Gbit/s.

In late September, the first Russian Rassvet communications satellite from the second batch entered its operational orbit at an altitude of about 500 km — 68 days after launch.
