The 3rd Assault Brigade killed 143 invaders and wounded almost a hundred more in just one day of fighting for a village in the Luhansk region.

The 3rd Brigade’s press service released the footage of the combat work.

The Russian military made a large-scale attempt to attack the village of Nadiia, which the 3rd Assault Brigade liberated in late March.

The enemy deployed a large number of manpower to attack in several directions in the areas of responsibility of the brigade’s three battalions, using only infantry assault groups.

To fight off the attacks, the brigade deployed all battalion assets of the 1st Assault, 2nd Mechanized, and 1st Mechanized Battalions, as well as an unmanned systems battalion and two artillery battalions.

A significant number of Russian infantry were eliminated with the help of FPV drones and artillery strikes – the released video alone shows the destruction of about eight dozen targets. However, as the enemy approached, the infantry also engaged in fire.

According to the brigade’s estimates, the enemy lost over two hundred fighters during the day of fighting: 143 invaders were killed, and another 86 suffered sanitary losses. At the same time, the invader took neither new nor previously lost positions.

Liberation of Nadiia

At the end of February, the Russians managed to capture the village of Nadiia through constant assaults, but they failed to further develop their success.

On March 23, the press service of the 3rd Assault Brigade announced the liberation of the village by the brigade’s forces, primarily the 1st Assault Battalion. The total area liberated from the enemy then amounted to three square kilometers.

“The capture of Nadiia cost the enemy two months of effort and two wiped out mechanized regiments – the 752nd and 254th of the 20th Russian Army,” Andriy Biletsky, commander of the Third Army Corps, reported.

The brigade’s mechanized battalion conducted a successful offensive, liberating the village and the surrounding area in a 30-hour operation.

The operation involved several tanks, infantry fighting vehicles, and tracked armored personnel carriers protected by electronic warfare. The attack itself was preceded by intensive artillery training, including the use of multiple rocket launchers.
