On the night of July 8, the Unmanned Systems Forces struck the Kuban-Crimea Energy Bridge, which serves as the main entry point for electricity supply from mainland Russia to occupied Crimea.
The strikes also targeted five power substations, three radar stations, a training ground and a repair base used by Russian forces, USF Commander Robert “Magyar” Brovdi reported.
Among the targeted energy infrastructure facilities were the PP-2 Crimea transition point near the settlement of Hlazivka, as well as the Nizhnyohirsk, Nasosna-3 in Zeleny Yar and Novotroitske substations. In addition, substations in the settlements of Kalynove and Troitske in the Luhansk region were struck.
The strike on the Crimean transition point disrupted the operation of the system that receives four underwater cable lines of the 14.5-kilometer Energy Bridge and converts them into overhead power lines.
In the Donetsk region, drones struck enemy air defense systems, including two P-18 radar stations in Zeleny Yar and Starodubivka, as well as the Parol-4 radar station. In addition, strikes were carried out against the repair base of the 27th Guards Motorized Rifle Brigade in Pysarivka, Luhansk region, and the Hvardiiske training ground in Oleksandrivka, Kherson region.
The combat missions involved the 412th Nemesis Brigade, the 9th Kairos Battalion, the 6th Battalion of the 414th Magyar Birds Brigade, Detachment 13, the Phoenix Air Defense Unit, the 20th K-2 Brigade and the 413th Raid Regiment.
