Russian forces struck a shopping center in Kryvyi Rih of the Dnipropetrovsk region, with jet-powered drones.
Oleksandr Hanzha, head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, said the attack killed two people and injured at least 50 others.
Following the strike, shops inside the building caught fire.
Emergency and rescue crews are already working at the site of the attack.
Following the initial strike, Russian forces launched a second attack on the shopping center using a rocket-powered drone. According to Oleksandr Vilkul, head of the city’s Defense Council, the drones were flying at extremely low altitudes.
Authorities warned of possible further strikes and urged residents to remain in shelters. The full extent of the damage and the number of casualties are still being assessed.
