ROBONEERS integrated the Shablya MK19 combat module onto the Volya-E UGV, transforming the widely used logistics platform into a remotely controlled fire support system.

Ukrainian defense tech company ROBONEERS informed Militarnyi of the completion of the integration and testing.

“The system has passed testing involving live-fire exercises and navigating an obstacle course,” the manufacturers assure.

The new UGV variant combines the Volya-E platform with the Shablya MK19 remotely controlled combat module, which uses 40 mm MK19 or AGL-53 automatic grenade launchers.

The module is designed to engage enemy personnel, lightly armored vehicles, and field fortifications at ranges of up to 2 kilometers.

Weapon control is carried out via a digital communication channel. The proprietary software supports various reticles, rapid target acquisition, target coordinate storage, video recording, and firing sector configuration.

The system also features a ballistic calculator, digital zoom, fire control modes, and the ability to fire based on coordinates without direct line-of-sight to the target.

The Shablya MK19 is compatible with Ukrainian-made thermal imaging systems and can be integrated with various types of ground-based robotic systems via digital communication channels, including Starlink Mini.

Originally, the Volya-E was designed as a logistics and evacuation platform for delivering cargo and evacuating the wounded. After the combat module was installed, the system gained the ability to perform fire missions without exposing personnel to dangerous areas.

The platform is equipped with an integrated communication system featuring a Starlink satellite channel and a TBS Crossfire backup control system. Its maximum speed is 12 km/h, its payload capacity is up to 200 kg, and its range is 22 kilometers.

Thanks to its compact dimensions, the UGV can be transported in the bed of a standard off-road vehicle, which simplifies its rapid redeployment between frontline sectors.

ROBONEERS notes that the successful integration has confirmed the versatility of the Shablya family of combat modules.

“Going forward, the company plans to adapt other turret variants to the Volya-E platform, which will expand the range of weapons for robotic systems already in service with the military,” the company reported.

As a reminder, the Shablya remote-controlled combat modules (RCCMs) recently achieved compatibility with Ukrainian grenade launchers and machine guns.
