Poland Reduces No-Fly Zone Along Its Borders with Ukraine and Belarus

Poland has reduced the no-fly zone along its borders with Ukraine and Belarus.

This was reported by the Polish Air Navigation Agency in NOTAM D6372/26.

At the request of the Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces, the restrictions will be in effect from September 10 to December 9, 2026, in the form of a new flight restriction zone, EP R134, which will replace the previous EP R131. Poland has been extending these restrictions every three months since September 2025.

The zone covers the eastern part of Poland up to an altitude of approximately 3 km and will be in effect around the clock; however, it will not interfere with passenger aircraft flying at higher altitudes.

At night, there is a complete flight ban in the zone, with the exception of military aircraft and separately coordinated flights from the Depultycze-Królewskie airfield.

The tightening of security measures was a response to the mass violation of the country’s airspace in the fall of 2025, when dozens of Russian drones flew into Poland.
