German defense concern Rheinmetall has received an order from a foreign customer to supply 155mm artillery ammunition.
The contract covers the production of a five-digit number of artillery shells, the company said.
The contract is worth several hundred million euros.
Production of the ammunition has already begun. The contract is scheduled to be completed, and all ordered shells delivered, in 2027.
To meet growing demand, the company continues to expand its production capacity and build new facilities, aiming to produce around 1.5 million 155mm artillery rounds annually by 2030.
Most of these shells are long-range 155mm variants.
