The ninth F-35A Husarz fighter jet for the Polish Air Force has arrived at the air base in Lasko.

This was announced by Polish Defense Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, according to Defence24.

This aircraft is the first fighter jet for the Polish military to be assembled at the Italian plant in Cameri.

The previous eight aircraft for Poland were manufactured at the Lockheed Martin plant in Texas, USA.

The aircraft, with tail number 3517, made its maiden flight in July, after which it underwent testing.

At the end of August, the largest batch of five aircraft arrived in Poland, and three aircraft had arrived in the country even earlier. In total, Poland has ordered 32 F-35A fighter jets, of which nine have been delivered so far, and deliveries are expected to increase to 14 aircraft by the end of the year.

As a reminder, the Polish Ministry of Defense will change the procedures for using weapons against aerial targets that violate the border from the Russian side.
