Ukrainian company Skyeton has developed the Stormbird strike unmanned aerial system (UAS), designed for precision strike missions.

The company told Militarnyi about the system.

Units of Ukraine’s Defense Forces are already using the system to strike enemy targets.

Stormbird was developed from the architecture of the Raybird (ACS-3) reconnaissance UAS and has expanded payload integration capabilities to perform a broader range of missions.

The company said Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense codified Stormbird in early 2026.

According to Skyeton, the platform draws on more than 350,000 hours of combat use of Raybird reconnaissance drones.
The new system inherited Raybird’s flight endurance, reliability, and resistance to electronic warfare. At the same time, the new UAS has gained strike capabilities.

Several payload options are available for the system, including:

  • Remora — a glide munition;
  • Quadremora — an FPV-type loitering munition;
    a relay — a device for maintaining communications beyond the coverage area of ground infrastructure.

“With Stormbird, we have taken a step beyond reconnaissance. This UAS combines Raybird’s flight endurance and low observability with the precision and versatility required for modern strike missions. Our vision is to create a comprehensive ecosystem of small fixed-wing UASs capable of conducting reconnaissance, detection and target identification missions, and now delivering precision strikes in conditions where manned aircraft or even larger UAVs cannot operate,” Roman Kniazhenko, CEO of Skyeton, shared.

The company said it developed its strike UAS with the requirements for low observability and survivability of modern unmanned systems in mind.

Its compact airframe is designed to reduce its radar signature, while a high level of autonomy enables precision strikes in dynamic combat conditions.

In September, the U.S. subsidiary of Ukrainian company Skyeton received a $10.64 million contract to supply Raybird reconnaissance drones and related services to the U.S. Army.
