Strike drones hit an oil refinery in Slavyansk-on-Kuban, Krasnodar Krai.
According to Astra, the attack took place during the night of June 27–28, 2026, triggering a fire on the refinery’s premises.
The Krasnodar Krai operational headquarters also confirmed the attack. As is customary in official Russian statements, authorities claimed that debris had fallen onto the refinery’s grounds. However, photos and videos from the scene indicate that the fire is extensive.
The blaze was also detected by NASA’s FIRMS monitoring system, which recorded it at approximately 3:33 a.m. local time. The strike itself, however, appears to have occurred earlier, with the attack and impact taking place between midnight and 2:00 a.m.
It is worth noting that the targeted facility is Slavyansk ECO LLC (Slavyansk Oil Refinery) – an independent oil refinery and one of the group’s key assets, focused on primary and secondary crude oil processing with a strong emphasis on exports.
The facility is located at the coordinates 45.219009728603005, 38.13304210566385, approximately 400–450 km from Ukrainian-controlled territory.
The oil refinery has a yearly design processing capacity of up to 5.2 million metric tons of crude oil. However, in 2023, its actual throughput was approximately 4.19 million metric tons.
Publicly available information on the number and storage capacity of the refinery’s tank farm is unavailable. However, based on satellite imagery, the facility appears to contain approximately 74 storage tanks of varying capacities.
Militarnyi previously reported that on the night of June 14, drones struck the Federal State Treasury Institution Kombinat Temp in the city of Rybinsk, Yaroslavl region.
A major fire broke out at the facility and firefighters reportedly spent several days trying to extinguish it. On June 22, satellite imagery emerged showing the extent of the damage.
According to those images, 15 storage tanks at the oil depot were completely destroyed by fire.
