Strike drones of the Ukrainian Defense Forces hit an oil depot in Rybinsk, Yaroslavl Region.
According to Astra, the attack took place during the night of June 13–14, 2026, triggering a major fire at the facility.
Unlike other oil depots targeted by Ukrainian drones, this facility holds particular strategic significance.
The Temp Combine, a federal state-owned institution, is responsible for storing untouchable strategic reserves of fuel and petroleum products. These reserves are intended for use during wartime, large-scale crises, and other emergency situations.
The oil depot has become an important logistics hub for supplying fuel to Russian military units operating in northeastern European Russia.
Rybinsk is located within the extensive Volga River transportation network, has rail connections, and serves as a key transit and logistics hub.
This makes the city’s oil depot a critical facility for storing and distributing petroleum products in northeastern Russia.
The depot is located at coordinates 58.022611, 38.955343, more than 700 kilometers (435 miles) from Ukraine’s state border.
The facility contains more than 60 storage tanks of various types, including large 5,000-cubic-meter tanks (RVS-5000).
It is worth noting that this is not the first time facilities belonging to Russia’s Federal Agency for State Reserves have been targeted by Ukrainian drones. A previous attack occurred on December 31, 2025, when a major fire broke out at the Rybinsk oil depot, destroying several storage tanks.
In addition, on November 14, 2025, drones targeted the Kristall oil storage facility operated by Rosrezerv in Engels. The site is used, among other purposes, to store aviation fuel for Russia’s strategic aviation forces.
