A massive fire at the state-owned Kombinat Temp oil storage facility in Rybinsk completely destroyed 15 fuel storage tanks.

Satellite images published by Exilenova+ show the extent of the damage following the strike on the facility.

In addition to the 15 tanks that were burned out, several other storage tanks sustained damage.

The targeted Temp facility is part of the structure of the Federal Agency for State Reserves.

The primary purpose of such facilities is the long-term storage of the state’s strategic reserves, including petroleum products.

Facilities of this type serve as part of Russia’s strategic fuel reserve system, maintaining emergency stockpiles for crisis situations and military mobilization.

The oil depot had also become a key logistics hub for supplying fuel to Russian military units operating in the northeastern region of European Russia.

Located within the Volga river network, Rybinsk is an important transportation and logistics hub with rail connectivity. The facility lies more than 700 km from the Ukrainian border.

The depot contains over 60 storage tanks of various sizes, including large-capacity 5,000-cubic-meter RVS-5000 tanks.

The strike occurred during the night of June 14, sparking a major fire across the facility.

On the night of June 21, the Ukrainian Defense Forces carried out strikes on the port of Kerch in occupied Crimea, as well as on the Port Kavkaz in Russia’s Krasnodar Krai.

According to photos and videos shared by local residents, the epicenter of the fire in Kerch was an oil storage facility.
