On the morning of August 7, Liutyi attack drones struck the logistics hub of the Russian marketplace Wildberries in Yekaterinburg of the Sverdlovsk region.
OSINT analysts from Militarnyi identified the targeted facility by analyzing videos and photos circulating online.
The footage shows several fires burning beneath the roof of the warehouse complex. The company confirmed the attack and reported that a fire had broken out on the premises of the logistics facility.
“Fire crews are currently working at the company’s logistics facility in Yekaterinburg, the Sverdlovsk region, where a fire broke out as a result of the attack. The facility was evacuated in advance. The acceptance of incoming shipments has been temporarily suspended, and deliveries have been redirected to other facilities,” Wildberries said.
Video from the scene indicates that all personnel evacuated the building and are now gathered outside.
Prior to the strike on the logistics hub, Sverdlovsk region governor Denis Pasler declared a drone threat alert across the region.
After news of the fire at the facility emerged, he stated that Russian air defenses had allegedly shot down eight drones, while three others struck the site.
The Ukrainian Liutyi long-range drones traveled more than 1,700 kilometers to reach the target.
The previous time, UAVs attacked the company’s warehouse in Yekaterinburg on July 25. However, on that occasion, the drone struck a parking lot near the facility, causing a fire. The logistics hub is located at 12/2 Perspektivnaya Street in the Chkalovsky district (in the city’s southern industrial zone).
On the night of August 5, another strike hit one of Wildberries’ largest distribution centers in Russia’s Tula region.
The hub served as a storage and distribution center for goods destined for the Tula, Kaluga, Oryol, Bryansk, Kursk, Lipetsk, Ryazan, and other neighboring regions of central Russia. It also helped ease the workload of logistics centers in the Moscow region.
Previously, Ukrainian long-range drones had also struck Wildberries warehouse complexes in Krasnodar Krai, Stavropol Krai, St. Petersburg, occupied Simferopol, as well as the Penza region and Perm Krai.
