Iran announced the restoration of air defense systems damaged during the June conflict with Israel.

The Defah Press agency reported on this, citing the words of the deputy army commander for operational affairs, Admiral Mahmoud Mousavi.

According to him, some air defense systems were indeed damaged, but they were promptly taken out for repairs or replaced with new ones.

Despite the dominance of Israeli aviation, Iranian sources claim that the command managed to preserve the most valuable units – in particular, the domestically produced Bavar-373 missile systems and the Soviet-era S-300 systems.

“Some of our air defense systems were indeed damaged. It cannot be hidden. However, our colleagues, using their own resources, promptly replaced them with pre-prepared systems that were stored in designated locations to ensure the security of our airspace,” said Admiral Mahmoud Mousavi, deputy commander of the army for operational affairs.

Meanwhile, Western intelligence agencies view Iran’s statements as a likely propaganda move aimed at demonstrating the capability of Iran’s defense industry to Israel and the United States.

According to official data, during Operation Rising Lion, Israel destroyed over 70 Iranian air defense systems in a short period, including radars and anti-aircraft missile batteries.

Overall, it is estimated that about 120 air defense system batteries had been put out of action – roughly one-third of Iran’s entire air defense arsenal prior to the strikes.

Militarnyi previously reported that Israeli aviation had destroyed at least 44 ballistic missile launchers during air attacks on Iran.

According to the researcher’s estimates, the Israeli Air Force managed to hit at least 44 ballistic missile launchers using objective control footage provided by the Israel Defense Forces press service.

Most of the launchers could not be identified by an exact model due to a lack of information about the launchers themselves, as well as certain limitations of the film and their camouflage.
