In the Barvinkove area of Kharkiv region, Defense Forces have neutralized the Russian tanks

Ukrainian troops destroyed Russian tanks that were trying to break into the town of Barvinkove.

According to Oleh Syniehubov, Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, on April 4th, the invaders had fired 54 strikes from various long-range weapons, including artillery strikes, mortar and tank shellings, and multiple rocket launches in Kharkiv and the region’s settlements.

The strikes affected the following districts: Saltivka, Pyatyhatky, Oleksiyivka, Kholodna Hora, Derhachi, Barvinkove, Chuhuyiv.

In addition, in Barvinkove, the shelling has damaged houses, cars and agricultural machinery. Residents of Barvinkove and Lozova had been recommended to register for the evacuation by train.

On his YouTube channel, journalist Yuriy Butusov posted a video of the destroyed T-72 tanks trying to break into the Barvinkove area.

The Russians are trying to develop offensive operations from the previously seized city of Izyum to siege the Ukrainian forces in the area of the Joint Forces Operation.

In this area of the Kharkiv region, fierce fighting between the Defense Forces of Ukraine and Russian invaders continues.

It is reported that the pilot of the downed Russian plane near Izyum was captured. The Russian attempts to evacuate the pilot by helicopter failed.
