WingTech has presented the HABA strike drone with a range of up to 600 km in strike mode.

The director of WingTech told Militarnyi about the drone during the Defence Builder Accelerator demo day.

“It is designed to deliver payloads, including warheads, to destroy ammunition depots and field fortifications,” the company director said.

The drone is also capable of remotely mining enemy rear areas.

“This is one of the capabilities of this product. In one direction, it can fly up to 600 kilometers, and with a return leg — up to 300 kilometers,” WingTech said.

The drone is fully controlled autonomously via Mission Planner. During flight planning, ammunition drop points and a return algorithm are set in advance.

The HABA performs the mission almost completely autonomously.

“However, there may be cases when it needs to be taken over manually during the return flight and landed if certain problems are detected during the flight,” the director said.

The drone’s orientation in space during the mission is carried out primarily using GPS navigation. If the GPS signal is suppressed, the SignLink module is used.

The drone is capable of flying deep into enemy territory even without satellite navigation.

“That is, it is both a network of beacons and equipment on the device itself, which allows it to navigate using these beacons and continue the flight,” WingTech said.

The drone is equipped with a gasoline engine. Its fuselage is made of aluminum and perforated aluminum, which helped reduce the weight of the structure. The drone has a one-piece wing, inside which the main electronics and fuel tanks are located.

The payload is released using a ballistic calculator, which ensures more accurate target engagement. The drone is launched using a pneumatic catapult.

The system includes three drones, a pneumatic catapult and a ground control station. The cost of one drone is about $10,000, while the total cost of the system is $32,000.
