In the US, the House of Representatives is displaying a Shahed drone shot down by the Ukrainian Armed Forces as proof of Iran’s aggressive influence.

A photo from the event was posted on his page by Jason Brodsky, director of the non-partisan organization UANI, which specializes in countering threats from the Islamic Republic of Iran.

US House Speaker Michael Johnson called for permanent and complete disarmament.

The delivery of this strike drone to the US was organized by the Polish government, as reported by the country’s embassy on its page on X:

In addition to Michael Johnson, Brian Mast, chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee and a veteran of the war in Afghanistan, also spoke at the drone event.

It is likely that this was the same “Shahed” that Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski demonstrated at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in the US in February.

It is these drones that terrorize Ukraine almost daily. Initially, they were only unmanned aerial vehicles manufactured in Iran, but now Russia is manufacturing them under license. At least two production facilities are known to have been set up in the aggressor country. In Alabuga, they are manufactured under the name “Geran-2,” while those manufactured in Izhevsk are designated “Garpia-A1.”

In September 2024 alone, their number exceeded one thousand units and continued to grow. By March 2025, more than 4,000 drones had attacked Ukrainians. In other words, in six months, the number of drones launched quadrupled.
