The Ukrainian Air Force conducted a precision bombing strike on a group of Russian infantry, which consisted of 10 soldiers.

The Soniashnyk Telegram channel published the relevant video.

The reconnaissance drone detected the movement of Russian infantry and transmitted the targeting data for a strike with two French AASM (HAMMER) bombs.

The Russian military sought shelter in a tunnel under the highway, but the bombs hit one of the entrances, depriving the enemy of any chance of survival.

According to the War Archive, the strike was carried out in the village of Oleshky in the temporarily occupied territory of the Kherson region.

As a reminder, MiG-29 and Su-27 fighters and Su-25 jet aircraft are AASM carriers.

On January 29, it was reported that the artillery of the Ukrainian Defense Forces hit a concrete fortification of the Russian invasion forces in the Kherson region using an M712 Copperhead guided projectile.

The WarArchive project detailed that the damaged fortification was located in the village of Hola Prystan, in the temporarily occupied part of the Kherson region.

AASM (HAMMER)

AASM is an upgrade kit for free-falling unguided bombs, similar to the US JDAM.

It consists of a front part with a guidance system and flaps, and a rear part with an accelerator that increases the range.

Графічна модель Авіабомби Mk.84 з комплектом Hammer-1000 у розборі.

France has two types of AASMs in service: Hammer-250 for Mk. 82 bombs (227 kg) and Hammer-1000 for Mk. 84 (908 kg).

The nose part of the kit can be equipped with three variants of guidance systems: inertial with GPS, inertial with a thermal imaging homing head, or inertial with laser guidance.
