Germany has transferred Zuzana 2 artillery systems, more than fifty armored vehicles, infantry weapons, air defense systems, etc., to the Ukrainian military.

The relevant update was published on the German government website.

Within four weeks, the Ukrainian military received 66 FFG MRAP armored mine-resistant vehicles, as well as three vehicles for the Border Guard Service.

The list of heavy equipment was supplemented by six armored Bergepanzer 2 repair and recovery vehicles, as well as spare parts for previously transferred vehicles of this type. They also received four WiSENT 1 MC demining vehicles and two additional mine plows.

Three 155-mm Zuzana 2 wheeled guns and 27,000 155-mm artillery shells were also delivered. In addition, 1,000 122-mm shells were also transferred to Soviet artillery systems and tank ammunition for Leopard 2.

The air defense component of the Armed Forces received an important reinforcement, receiving 41 ground surveillance radars, anti-aircraft missiles for IRIS-T SL/SLM systems, and 38,000 rounds of 35 mm HEI-T ammunition for the Gepard.

Germany has completed the delivery of a dozen Kinetic Defense Vehicle anti-drone systems, delivering the last four vehicles. The system is based on the R400 combat module from Australian manufacturer Electro Optic Systems, equipped with a radar from American manufacturer Echodyne and an optoelectronic station from Diehl.

The configuration being delivered to Ukraine is armed with a 7.62×51 mm M134D machine gun with a rotary barrel assembly. In addition to machine guns, this combat module can also be equipped with a 40-mm grenade launcher or a 30-mm low-pulse cannon.

A significant part of the aid is unmanned systems and infantry weapons. Germany donated 150 HF-1 barrage munitions, 10 Sonobot maritime drones, and 70 Vector reconnaissance systems.

Within four weeks, the military received 917 RGW90 hand-held anti-tank grenade launchers, 800 MK 556 assault rifles, and, for the first time, delivered 7.62 mm G3 assault rifles in the amount of 3,769 units.

The G3 rifles are quite old weapons, having been decommissioned by the German army with the rearmament of the G36 in the 1990s. Therefore, it is evident that they came from the Bundeswehr’s stockpile. A certain number of them had previously been supplied to the Ukrainian military by other countries, where the military used them as a marksman’s weapon due to their powerful ammunition.

A significant amount of infantry equipment and special equipment was also transferred, including 92 infrared binoculars, 187 laser rangefinders, 150,000 tourniquets, and 1,300 sleeping bags. Special attention should also be paid to 55 underwater mobility devices that could be useful for special forces units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
