Drones attacked three tankers in the Black Sea near the northern coast of Turkey.

Reuters reported on this, citing the maritime agency Tribeca.

The incident involving the Palau-flagged tanker JAMES II, which was sailing without cargo, occurred approximately 80 km north of the Turkish district of Turkel.

The Sierra Leone-flagged tankers ALTURA and VELORA, which were also sailing without cargo, were attacked in a neighboring area while conducting a ship-to-ship transfer operation.

Coast Guard boats were dispatched to the scene to provide assistance, and all crew members are in satisfactory condition.

Recently, a Russian maritime drone attacked the Ukrainian training sailing ship Druzhba in the port of Odesa.

The sailing ship was built at a Polish shipyard in Gdańsk in 1987, along with sister ships—the Khersones, Pallada, Mir, and Nadezhda—for the Soviet Union’s maritime training institutions.
