Strike drones of the Defense Forces successfully struck three oil depots in the city of Mikhailovsk in Russia’s Stavropol Krai.
Astra Telegram channel reported on this.
The attack took place on the night of July 18–19, 2026. Local residents started posting in chat rooms about the sounds of gunfire and drones flying overhead, after which a powerful explosion occurred, accompanied by a blaze in the area of one of the oil depots.
Vladimir Vladimirov, governor of the Stavropol Krai, reported two fire hotspots in the industrial zone of the Vyazniki settlement and another in the northern part of Stavropol.
He also noted that flammable materials are detonating due to the fires at industrial facilities.
These areas are home to oil depots, and, according to photos and video footage, the fire broke out at these very depots. One of the affected oil depots in the village of Vyazniki belongs to Rosneft.
Another fire broke out at 1 Promyslovaya Street, where the companies Korona and MK-Nefteprodukt operate. Astra also speculates that the Stavropol oil depot, located at 19 Kolomiytseva Street and operated by LUKOIL-Yugnefteprodukt LLC, was affected.
According to publicly available data, the facility has 42 storage tanks with a total capacity of approximately 57,600 cubic meters and handles the receipt, storage, and shipment of automotive gasoline, diesel fuel, and lubricants.
Ukrainian drones have recently targeted this oil depot. On the night of July 13, a fire broke out on its grounds following a successful strike. In addition, four days before this attack, on July 9, drones struck this facility for the first time.
Militarnyi previously reported that strike drones of the Ukrainian Defense Forces had struck an oil depot in the city of Noginsk in the Moscow region.
The oil depot’s grounds house 24 storage tanks with a total capacity of 11,500 cubic meters.
