Crimea: S-300/S-400 Air Defense Sites and Military Base Area Ablaze

NASA’s FIRMS fire-monitoring system detected a blaze at an S-300/S-400 air defense site on Cape Zyuk near the village of Kurortne on the Sea of Azov coast of the Kerch Peninsula. Another fire was recorded on the grounds of a military unit in Kerch.

The Crimean Wind Telegram channel published the report, citing data from NASA FIRMS.

According to the outlet, a radar station is located on Cape Zyuk, while an S-300/S-400 air defense battery is positioned just south of the site.

The air defense position is located at coordinates 45.481151344816155, 36.34254404767028.

The monitoring service also recorded a fire at military unit 98546, home to the 630th Railway Engineering Battalion, located at coordinates 45.35164594616471, 36.597598921455166.

According to the service, the fire at that location was detected at 02:24 a.m.

Militarnyi previously reported that during the night of June 11, units of the Ukrainian Navy carried out a missile strike against a Russian Black Sea Fleet military facility in occupied Crimea.
