The main purpose of the training is “to test the knowledge of servicemen and evaluate their actions while bringing the military unit to a higher level of combat readiness.”

As previously reported, from December 13 to 19, a sudden check of the combat readiness of the troops was conducted in Belarus.

Within those activities, the Belarusian military had to advance in the shortest possible time to the designated areas, set up their engineering equipment, and organize protection and defense. Bridge crossings across the Neman and Berezina rivers were also constructed.

At first, the engineering troops carried out their tasks to set up river crossings. Then, the units of the mechanized brigades moved to the designated training grounds.

At the same time, during the check, the transfer of military equipment from the Russian Federation to Belarus continued. In particular, a Russian А-50 AEW&C plane was transferred to the Machulishchi airfield. It is now at the same location as the MiG-31K aircraft of the Russian Air Force.

It was also reported on December 23 that a batch of Russian-made Tor-M2K anti-aircraft missile systems arrived in Belarus. The batch of these weapons was transferred to Belarus and Russia under the intergovernmental agreement on military and technical cooperation.

On December 19, Lukashenko stated that the military of the Republic of Belarus had put Russian S-400 SAM systems and Iskander ballistic missile systems on combat duty.

In the morning summary of the General Staff on December 20, it was reported that the situation in the Volyn and Polissia directions remains unchanged, and no signs of the formation of offensive groups were detected.
