Drones Strike Wildberries Facility in Novosemeykino Near Russian Flag and ZV Symbol

On the morning of August 2, Ukrainian drones struck and destroyed a key Wildberries logistics hub in Russia’s Volga region, near Samara.

Videos published by the Exilenova+ community on X appear to show the aftermath of the strike.

A notable feature of the site is a giant Russian flag and the “Z” and “V” symbols associated with Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. The markings, measuring approximately 80 × 40 meters, are located about 450 meters from the Wildberries logistics center.

The 178,600-square-meter logistics facility, located near the settlement of Novosemeykino, served as a key distribution and delivery hub for goods across the Samara region and neighboring areas, supporting Wildberries’ logistics network throughout central European Russia.

The warehouse, equipped with an automated sorting system and designed to store up to 120 million items, opened only in March 2025. Construction costs were estimated at approximately RUB 13 billion (around $140 million).

Overall, this is the 17th Wildberries logistics center to have been attacked by the Ukrainian Defense Forces since mid-July 2026. Including the facility in Novosemeykino, 11 of these logistics centers have been destroyed or heavily damaged by major fires.

Wildberries

Wildberries is Russia’s largest online marketplace, often described as the Russian equivalent of Amazon. Its logistics centers are critical components of the company’s infrastructure.

These facilities handle the receipt, sorting, storage, and shipment of millions of products to customers across Russia.

In addition to civilian goods, Wildberries also advertises military-related equipment on its website, including body armor, fiber-optic spools for drones, drones themselves, and drone components, with product descriptions explicitly highlighting their intended use in the so-called “Special Military Operation.”

Following the attacks on its warehouse complexes, the marketplace removed the “Everything for the Special Military Operation ” tag from its website. The section had promoted military equipment, including helmets, body armor, spare parts for FPV drones, thermal imaging devices, and night vision systems.

Meanwhile , the products themselves remained available on the marketplace, along with dozens of other active war-related tags, including “Special Military Operation Products,” “Special Military Operation Accessories,” and “Special Military Operation Supplies.”

The attacks are presented as a response to the systematic strikes on Nova Poshta terminals and sorting centers in Lutsk, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Kryvyi Rih, and other Ukrainian cities, which have continued since the beginning of 2026.
