Ukrainian company SkyFall has developed a strike drone with a range of up to 600 km and a warhead weighing approximately 50 kg.
Bloomberg reported on this.
According to Defender Media, the system can be equipped with a fragmentation warhead, a high-explosive fragmentation (HE-FRAG) warhead, or other warhead types depending on mission requirements.
The company aims to reach a production capacity of 1,000 drones per month by the end of the year and has already signed contracts with international partners to deliver the systems to the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
The company shared that the system has already demonstrated successful combat performance under operational conditions. The estimated unit cost of the drone is $25,000–30,000.
SkyFall is best known for its Vampire bomber drone, Shrike FPV drones, and P1-SUN interceptor drones.
In late July, the company unveiled a new variant of the P1-SUN interceptor drone designed to counter jet-powered unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
The new version, designated JetKiller, was presented for the first time at the Farnborough International Airshow.
The interceptor can reach speeds of up to 370 km/h, has an operational range of up to 30 km, can operate at altitudes of up to 9,000 m, remains airborne for up to 15 minutes, and carries a 500 g warhead.
The P1-SUN JetKiller is offered in several configurations, including versions equipped with daylight or night analog or digital cameras, as well as a version featuring an artificial intelligence (AI) module for automatic target detection, tracking, and acquisition.
The AI-powered terminal guidance system enables the interceptor to detect and acquire enemy targets faster than human reaction time at ranges of up to 1 km.
The AI module automatically detects, tracks, and maintains target lock, allowing the operator to engage targets more quickly and accurately, even in complex combat environments.
