The Turkish company Baykar has publicly confirmed its involvement with the SİVRİSİNEK kamikaze UAV for the first time.

The drone was showcased at the SAHA 2026 exhibition as a new development by the company, reported Savunma Sanayii on X.

Previously, this drone had been unofficially linked to the Turkish company, despite its appearance in several countries and combat use.

The SİVRİSİNEK itself was demonstrated at the SAHA 2026 exhibition as a strike drone with a catapult launch.

This launch method allows it to be used without a runway.

The drone can be deployed from forward positions or limited areas.

The stated flight range is up to 1,000 km.

The aircraft supports swarm operations with artificial intelligence capabilities.

This allows for the coordination of group strikes against targets.

Previously, similar drones were spotted in a number of countries, including Ukraine, making Baykar’s public acknowledgment significant.

Turkey recently unveiled the large Baykar K2 kamikaze drone.
